A group of Journalism and Audiovisual Communication students from URJC have premiered the web series “Las del Cuarto” on Instagram TV. Each chapter of the fiction has a duration of a minute and a half and will last for nine episodes broadcast entirely from the official profile of the project.

The series tells the story of four girls in their twenties who know each other because they are neighbors, something that will unite them more than they think. They will talk about their problems and insecurities, which will spark a lot of discussion. The fiction features Mireia Ribera, Tamara Conde, Claudia González and the creator herself, Lola Rabal, as protagonists. Each of the characters has a different personality, which will determine the plot. Among the inspirations that have helped her define the idea are "the sea, the series Sex in New York and her own friends."

Lola Rabal was very clear about her objectives "to help people feel identified because we deal with issues in a different way" and she did not hesitate to capture it in the script. 'Las del Cuarto' talks about being single, anxiety, future employment or ex-partners, from the point of view of four 20-year-old girls. "We did not want to please everyone, since we cannot understand how a 40-year-old person can feel in principle," says the author.

The series will also feature two celebrity cameos such as Caroline Iglesias and Paqui Pena. In addition, the project has the participation of more than 20 URJC students. "We are a very talented group of friends from the race, each one in his branch, and we all support each other in everything," says Lola Rabal. Finally, the authors will make a podcast, available on Spotify and in which the topics mentioned in each of the episodes will be discussed.
