Under the motto “The Voice of Experience”, the Rey Juan Carlos University will organize the 16th Conference on Mental Health on April 0. The event will consist of various conferences in which various problems associated with this poor state will be discussed. The conference can be followed online through Microsoft Teams and later it can be seen on a deferred basis through TV URJC. The seminar is aimed at all teachers, professionals and people linked to mental health and recognized with 3 free credits. Interested parties may register from following link.

The different talks will be given by professionals from various branches such as psychiatrists, occupational therapists and psychologists and will run from 9:15 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. with a short 30-minute break. Among them, the international experiences in mental health stand out, which will include experts from other countries such as the United Kingdom or Chile.

The philosophy of this conference was born with the intention of contributing from the university to the fight against stigma and social exclusion of people who have had negative experiences related to mental health. The objective is to create a space for reflection in which, together, students, teachers, professionals and people linked to mental health can consider the need for a truly person-centered paradigm shift, taking into account their own experience of mental health as an integrated part of their life project.

The seminar is planned from the Department of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine attached to the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Rey Juan Carlos University. Likewise, it is directed by professors Jorge Pérez Corrales, Domingo Palacios Ceña and Carlos Sánchez Camarero.
