The Rey Juan Carlos University and Banco Santander open the call to apply for aid to cover part of the expenses associated with the face-to-face stay of the doctoral student in higher education centers or research centers belonging to and established in a foreign country to aspire to the mention of 'International Doctor' in his doctoral degree.

The academic authorities establish that to be considered an 'international doctor', it is necessary to spend a total of at least three months outside of Spain in higher education institutions or prestigious research centers, studying or carrying out research work.

To facilitate the completion of this stay, the URJC, through its International Doctoral School and Banco Santander have launched this new call that will help cover part of the expenses generated by said mandatory stay.

The maximum allocation of each grant will be €4.200 for destinations outside the European Union and €3.800 for destinations within the European Union. The aid consists of the payment of an economic endowment destined to cover living expenses and travel expenses and will be subject to the regulations, at all times applicable, in fiscal matters, in terms of withholding on account of Income Tax. of Natural Persons and of the Social Security contribution.

People who apply for these grants must meet two main requirements: that they are enrolled in Doctoral Programs regulated by RD 99/2011 and that they have at least one positive annual evaluation by their Academic Committee. And, on the other hand, that they are going to carry out a minimum stay of three months in a higher education or research center in a foreign country to carry out research work or training activities, directly related to the subject of their thesis. doctoral.

The deadline for submitting applications will be fifteen business days, counting from the day following the date of publication of the extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid.
