Service Learning (ApS) is a key tool for the complete development of a human being in a sustainable way, focusing teaching on the understanding of the reality that is being lived and the needs of the environment. In the case of the URJC, it is a collaboration between the university and society that serves students to learn ethical, civic and social values, and teachers as technical innovation.

Putting the focus on students, the ApS service of the Rey Juan Carlos University will organize a training course on this methodology over the next few days. As they point out to us from the organization, the objective of this appointment is to make known how to learn curricular competences helping the community. The participants will learn how Service Learning provides experiential knowledge to the student while helping to improve the situation of vulnerable groups in their closest environment.

To facilitate enrollment in the University Community, the courses will be taught from different campuses. On the 4th it will be held on the Móstoles campus, on the 5th on the Alcorcón campus, and on the 8th it will take place on the Vicálvaro campus. Any URJC student can freely register for the sessions, which will have the same timetable, being from 12:00 to 14:00.

Participating in events in which there is a transfer of knowledge to society in terms of ethical and social commitment, being part of networks for the exchange of experiences and promoting the dissemination of these, are some of the services that registered students will offer after signing up to this course.

Since places are limited, interested students are recommended to register as soon as possible through this link. It should also be remembered that attendees will be able to claim 0,1 ECTS credits.
