New online edition of the URJC Short Film Festival

The 24 Frames university association organizes another year of Framestival, aimed at all those students from the Community of Madrid who want to publicize their audiovisual works. Registration is open until December 30.

the university association 24 Frames organizes one more year its already classic short film festival, Framestival. The fifth edition of this event is being held online again, including the gala, "to guarantee everyone's safety", they say from the 24 Frames website.

Framestival aims to promote works and/or works by students from the Community of Madrid, in order to publicize and promote the creation of audiovisual works in the field of short films. All those interested can present their candidatures through a online form until next December 30.

Requirements, ceremony and awards

According to the rules of the contest published on the blog of 24 Frames, it will be essential that the short films presented have been made after December 1, 2020. With a maximum duration of 10 minutes, the works must be submitted attaching the student card of the university or school to which the authors belong.

The finalist works will be known in mid-January 2022 through the 24 Frames networks. The finalists will be communicated via email. The Festival guarantees that at least 40% of the selected works will be short films directed or co-directed by women.

The selected short films will compete for four prizes. A first prize of €140, a statuette and a festival diploma; a second endowed with a subscription of €50 for Netflix, HBO or Filmin and a festival diploma; and a third prize of a Cinesa ticket worth €20 and a festival diploma.

The awards ceremony will be held online through a YouTube direct at the 24 Frames Association channel. This ceremony and awards ceremony will take place on April 7, 2022.
