III Solidarity Week at the University Clinic

The situation of health and social crisis that we have been enduring since the pandemic began has seriously affected many families who, due to work or health problems, cannot adequately cover their most basic needs.

For the director of the Clinic, Diego Gómez-Costa, "in times of crisis where so many people are having a really bad time, it is where values ​​such as solidarity, empathy, sensitivity or social responsibility must be strengthened." For this reason and with the aim of helping to alleviate this difficult situation and contributing our grain of sand, the Clinic will set up a solidarity collection point where donations of non-perishable food, cleaning products and personal hygiene products will be collected, which will be will go to families in vulnerable situations in the area.

Anyone who wishes can leave their contributions on the ground floor of the University Clinic from November 30 to December 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 20:00 p.m.   

“During the I and II Solidarity Week, held in June 2020 and March 2021, we collected 500 and 400 kg respectively, thanks to the solidarity of neighbors, workers, students and patients. In this third solidarity week we hope to achieve the same or even more”, says Gómez-Costa.
