The Education Observatory of the Rey Juan Carlos University organizes together with the Professional Association of Directors of Secondary Education of the Community of Madrid, APRODIR, the meeting 'Attention to diversity and diversity in educational centers as a reflection of society' .
The event, which will be held on November 30 at 18:00 p.m. in the Hall of Degrees of the Madrid Campus (Vicálvaro) of the URJC, aims to be a space for dialogue between university and school, in which directors of centers will participate of secondary education and other professionals in the field of education. The event will try to address the concept of "diversity" from the social plane and its reflection in current education.
With the celebration of this event, the URJC Education Observatory is reactivated, "a space in which we try to promote the confluence of all those involved in education through dialogues", explains Pilar Laguna, its director and organizer of the event.
"The idea is to organize activities that allow us to open the dialogue between university and society and more in a context in which education is always under discussion," explains Laguna. In this meeting, the management teams take on special importance, which, according to the organizer, "are a fundamental axis in the organization of education in any field".
In this way, the Professional Association of Directors of Secondary Education of the Community of Madrid, APRODIR, picks up the glove and joins this initiative that becomes a bidirectional transfer of knowledge between university and non-university education.
"We can contribute to them from the University just as they can to us because of their track record in innovation and new methodologies applied from secondary education," says Pilar Laguna.
A round table to offer a more complete vision
The theme chosen for this first meeting has been attention to diversity and its presence in educational centers as a reflection of society. One of the objectives is to offer a complete vision of it from the different sectors such as family, administration, professionals and university.
Por, various personalities will participate in the event such as José Ignacio Martín, general director of Infant, Primary and Special of the Community of Madrid; Carmen Perdices, president of the association Mejora tu Escuela Pública; Luis Manuel Martínez, professor at the URJC; Pilar Muóz Morales, director of the Salvador Dalí secondary school in Leganés and Pilar Laguna, representing the families.
