On Thursday afternoon, the rector, Javier Ramos, closed the VIII IADB, this edition, has been held in hybrid mode. With them, four days of activities and events promoted by the Center for Teaching Innovation and Digital Education (CIED) closed.
The rector highlighted the value of teaching and research at the University, from which he feeds, and both must go hand in hand. And it is that the Conference has also been the scene of the 'IV Recognition of Excellent Teachers of the DOCENTIA program', to whom the Rector thanked him for his efforts. A thank you and congratulations to which was added by the Vice Chancellor for Quality, Ethics and Good Governance of the URJC, Ismael Sanz Labrador. In this edition, there have been 228 teachers who have obtained this qualification.
For the first time, the student body speaks
The IADB has given a voice at its tables and panels of experts to the teachers of the URJC and other Universities and, for the first time, to the students, with whom they have had a table dedicated to dealing with the role of this group in evaluation processes. Another novelty has been the presentation of the Teaching Innovation Groups of the URJC.
The IADBs have had more than 550 registrations, of which about 400 have been online. The number of communications presented, which reflect good didactic practices that are developed in the URJC, has risen to 144, of which 94 have been selected, that is, the communications received have tripled and those selected have doubled compared to last year.
New Ideas Award
Likewise, within the framework of the IADB, the 'VIII Innovative Professors Award' was awarded, which recognizes the efforts of the URJC faculty in the search for new ways and methods in the teaching and learning processes and that, as indicated the Vice Chancellor for Digitization, "it brings to the fore the recognition of the commitment of the Rey Juan Carlos University faculty with this improvement of the teaching-learning processes, highlighting the value of innovation."
The first prize went to David García Marín, for 'From the podcast to the interactive video. Transmedia methodology for the New Technologies and Information Society subject'; the second prize went to Lorena Rodríguez Calzada, Rubén Callejo Martín and Ana Del Moral De Mingo, for 'New innovative practices based on Serious Game in the subject of Applied Computing: the Zombie World'; and the third went to Rebeca Martín Nieto and Ana Martín Morán, for 'Radio Gaga: Listening Unleashed'.
The Week has also served as the setting for the III Educational Innovation Meeting for Degree Coordinators, with a great reception (68 registered), and the III Educational Innovation Workshops, with six workshops that have had 186 registered teachers.
