The Rey Juan Carlos University has entered for the first time in the world ranking of the 25 best Spanish-speaking Higher Education Institutions thanks to the Master in SAP Logistics Project Management. Each year, the consulting firm Hamilton Global Intelligence publishes the results of this ranking that includes the best MBA degrees (Master in Business Administration, Master in Business Administration) in Spanish.
This is not the first recognition received by the degree in its ten years of experience. The master's degree in SAP Logistics Project Management at URJC has the SAP Gold Partner Education mention for the quality of training and employability of students, among other mentions.
Carmen de Pablos, director of the master's degree, says that the degree was born due to the number of jobs that exist related to SAP technology in business management and the fact that young people do not take advantage of these opportunities because they are not sufficiently trained in this field.
“We get in touch with the SAP company and the 'partners' and consultants that need personnel in logistics management with this technology. We propose a collaboration led by the URJC to provide the labor market with this type of highly demanded profiles and for our students to obtain quality jobs”, explains de Pablos.
The degree began its journey ten years ago with a face-to-face and intensive system, but due to the high demand of people interested in the master's degree from other countries, the online modality was included two years ago. "The fact that we have been included in this online training ranking is a very important achievement for us since we have only had two editions in this modality, this year we are doing the third", celebrates the director.
Master's profile
The type of public that attends the Master in SAP Logistics Project Management at URJC is characterized by a wide variety. On the one hand, it is aimed at recently graduated students, not necessarily from the technical field. "It is a very attractive course both for people with a technical profile, engineers who want to train in project management, and for students from other areas, such as Economics, Tourism or Marketing," says de Pablos.
“On the other hand, the profile of experienced professionals stands out who, as a result of the 2008 economic crisis, ended up unemployed and decided to turn their work life around,” adds the director.
