URJC Theater launches a workshop aimed at teachers and PAS

The Culture area of ​​the Rey Juan Carlos University organizes during the month of February and for the first time a course aimed at teachers and professionals of the academic institution interested in performing arts.

After the Christmas holidays and with the new year just beginning, the Culture area of ​​the Rey Juan Carlos University is working to launch its 2022 program. In addition to reactivating the workshops that were already held during the first semester, other activities are being prepared. activities and news that coincide with the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the university.

The first of the activities that starts in February is the theater workshop which, as a novelty, will offer a course aimed exclusively at teachers and PAS. "It seems to us a new and very interesting initiative, from which many other things will surely arise," says Elena Díaz, from the Culture area.

The workshop will be held over two weekends (5 and 6, and 12 and 13 February) in 6-hour sessions. The work plan will be 2 hours at the beginning, coffee break, another 2 hours, lunch and 2 hours in the afternoon. For the first class it will be necessary to prepare a personal presentation of a maximum of 5 minutes. During the workshop, skills such as concentration and creativity will be worked on with collective and individual exercises.

Improvisation and character creation will also be exercised, as well as the recreation of scenes originating from improvisations. The results with the best scenes and exercises of the workshop will be published on the social networks of @cultura_urjc.
