“Towards employment aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals”. That is the description with which the Superior School of Experimental Sciences and Technology of the Rey Juan Carlos University has wanted to promote its first employment forum. A face-to-face event that aims to be a meeting place for companies, institutions and students.

On February 3 and 4, the Lecture Hall II of the Móstoles Campus hosts a program full of activities such as conferences, workshops or round tables, in which students will be able to learn about the wide range of professional opportunities offered by their studies at ESCET .

The forum is aimed at 3rd and 4th year students of all grades at ESCET, master's students, as well as recent graduates. According to the organization, the program is designed to try to cover the most interesting professional sectors of science and engineering.

For this reason, during the two days that the forum lasts, there will be two parallel sessions in classrooms 001 and 002, as well as stands from companies, professional associations and university services in the hall of the building. The activities are grouped into sectors such as industry (energy, transport, production, automation, consulting) or health, biotechnology, environment and food.

There is also a area dedicated to research, teaching, public employment and postgraduate training; and another on scientific communication, tools for job search and entrepreneurship.

More than 20 companies will be present at the forum: Talgo, Airbus, Ferrovial, AENOR, Grupo Tragsa, Bosch, Bruker, Fisher Scientific, Adam Foods, Genyca, Eolion, and institutions such as the CSIC, Ciemat, Imdea Energía, Imdea Materials, Hospital La Paz, Imidra and UCM.

Among the scheduled activities, a round table organized by the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCC+I) entitled "Dissemination and scientific communication as professional opportunities" stands out. It will feature the presence of Raúl Limón, editor of the Science section of El País; Fernando Gordón, specialist in Corporate Communication; and the mathematician and scientific popularizer, Santiago García Cremades.

The forum is held in person in Móstoles from 9:30 a.m. to 19:00 p.m. and will be broadcast through Microsoft Teams. Registration and more information about the programming in the following link
