The URJC sponsors this event organized by the Madrid City Council, which recognizes original, creative and innovative projects undertaken by women to promote and boost female entrepreneurship. The Rey Juan Carlos University will offer a complete mentoring program to the winning projects.

A new edition of the 'Entrepreneurs Award', a contest organized by the Madrid City Council to promote, encourage, support, encourage and motivate the entrepreneurial capacity of women. 

The prize celebrates its XII Edition this year 2022 and its total economic endowment is 100.000 euros.

The winners will receive the 'Entrepreneur of the Year 2022 Award' endowed with 20.000 euros. The finalists, meanwhile, will have a prize of 10.000 euros each. In addition, 15 second prizes of 4.000 euros each will be awarded.

The Rey Juan Carlos University is one of the sponsoring entities, and the only academic institution that collaborates with the award. The URJC will offer a complete mentoring program to the winners, which will be carried out by the professor of the Department of Applied Economics I, and History of Economic Institutions (And Moral Philosophy), Francisco Blanco, who is also responsible for entrepreneurship at the URJC.

Blanco has pointed out that the program includes “a complete analysis of the business, looking at its expansion possibilities, examining problems and providing solutions. In addition, networking is carried out and we make the entrepreneurs meet people who may be interested in their project”.

The application period to participate in the 'Entrepreneurs 2022 Award is open until June 22, 2022 at 23:59 p.m. It can be done by both companies and people who contribute a business idea.

With its sponsorship, the URJC demonstrates its commitment to the entrepreneurial ecosystem and, more specifically, to female entrepreneurship. In addition to the URJC, the following collaborate with the award: Womenalia, the Spanish Association of Women Entrepreneurs (ASEME), the Hotel Business Association of Madrid (AEHM), and Onda Madrid.
