Doctoral students Lorena González and Diego Fernández have been selected to represent the Rey Juan Carlos University in the second edition of the national contest for popular science #HiloTesis. This was announced this week by the jury of the International Doctoral School of the URJC.

The CRUE, in collaboration with the Network for Scientific Dissemination and Culture (RedDivulga), organizes this contest whose objective is for researchers in training or doctoral students to be able to tell society what they do, how they do it and why they do it. Scientific dissemination within the framework of this contest is carried out by publishing a Twitter thread of a maximum of 20 tweets.

El best twitter thread selected in the general category of the URJC is Lorena González Gómez (@Loregg23), from the Doctoral Program in Sciences. González, a doctoral student in Analytical Chemistry, focuses her thesis on the safety of some foods according to their components.

On the other hand, in the category of inclusion and disability, the jury has selected the thread by Diego Fernández Vázquez (@Diegofervazz), from the Health Sciences Doctoral Program. With his thesis, Fernández tries to analyze the results of using an exoskeleton to rehabilitate the way people with multiple sclerosis walk.

Red Divulga will publish the decision of the winners between the next May 23 and 27.
