Dance as a bodily expression is one of the specialties in which students of the degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences at the Rey Juan Carlos University can work.

In its study plan, the degree includes the teaching of a subject that tries to address this discipline. As the culmination of the academic year, some 60 boys and girls from the degree will demonstrate everything they have learned on stage through a contemporary dance show.

The event takes place tomorrow, Saturday, June 4, in two sessions at 16:00 p.m. and 18:00 p.m. at the Viñagrande Cultural Center in Alcorcón. The students will reflect through the choreographies different themes that are very present today, as explained by Professor Alexander Gil:

"Trafficking in women or drug addiction are some of the social issues that students will represent through choreography and performances." To achieve this, the teacher of the Dance and corporal expression subject, Diana Amado, has designed a total of 12 artistic choreographies that the students will represent.

It is not the first time that this show has been held, as it was already held on two different occasions before the pandemic: one in the 2017/2018 academic year and another in 2018/2019. Now it returns with a complete program and with free access until full capacity is reached. The Viñagrande Cultural Center is located at Calle Parque Ordesa, 5 in Alcorcón.
