Knowing other countries and other work cultures is something always enriching for any person and for the organizations in which they carry out their profession.

With the aim of deepening the internationalization of the entire university community, the 2022 call Grants for the Mobility of Teaching and Research Staff (PDI) and Administration and Services Staff of the URJC.

These mobility aids are granted both for teaching stays, for the PDI, and for training stays. The total financing of the call amounts to 39.651 euros, (of which €27.035 are for teaching and €12.616 for training).

Applicants must be staff of the Rey Juan Carlos University both at the time of submitting the application and at the end of the stay. In addition, you must have command of the language of instruction of the destination university.

The stays can be carried out both in the countries belonging to the Erasmus+ program and in other countries of the world. The call finances a maximum of 5 days for European mobilities and 8 for mobilities from associated countries.

The objectives for the people who intervene in this call are to share their specialized knowledge and try new teaching environments. Also, acquire new innovative pedagogical and curricular design skills, as well as digital skills. In the same way, connect with their counterparts abroad to develop common activities in order to achieve the objectives of the Erasmus+ Program. Finally: exchange good practices, strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions and better prepare students for the world of work.

According to María Luisa Humanes, vice-rector for International Relations, "this mobility allows teaching staff to strengthen links that can be maintained over time and to generate future collaborations, which ultimately lead to double degrees between the URJC and universities in another country". For the PAS, he adds, “it makes it possible to implement possible improvements in the workplace and learn how the same services work in other contexts, it also gives the opportunity to have one more experience to add to the professional career in the face of promotion processes, etc".

Interested persons should locate, in the teaching case, a professor, department or area in a foreign university that interests them due to their area of knowledge. As far as the PAS is concerned, it would be necessary to find a similar service or a training plan of interest. In addition, in the latter case, exchange agreements can be reached between URJC staff and the universities where these people are going to spend their stay.

As María Luisa Humanes points out, “neither the university nor the members of the university community can be closed to the world. It is about sharing experience with people from other countries who are facing similar problems and similar challenges”

This call aims to help the URJC university community to meet this goal.
