At a decisive moment for future university students to choose the place where they will carry out their studies, the QS ranking of universities once again brings good news for the URJC. According to its latest installment, the Rey Juan Carlos University is once again among the best 1200 universities in the world.

The reason for this good result is the fact that in the main ranking indicators that measure the performance of the institution, the URJC is positioned among the 500-600 best in the world. These are: academic reputation and reputation among employers, among the top 501; student/PDI ratio, appointments by PDI and International PDI ratio, among the 601 best. In what has to do with the ratio of international students, the Rey Juan Carlos University is in position 507.

According to Diana Benito, deputy vice-rector for Strategy, "the QS ranking is based on 6 performance indicators and our institution is positioned in all of them among the 500-600 best in the world, which once again demonstrates the high quality of our teaching staff ". Benito adds that “we should all feel very satisfied and proud of the evolution of the URJC. It is an international ranking and we compete with institutions from all over the world, which in many cases have large budgets, so this position implies greater merit on the part of our teachers".

Featured in SDG research

In addition to the good results in the general indicators, the URJC has also managed to position itself in the 'SDG rating', which has to do with the relative productivity of research on the Sustainable Development Goals in the institutions. In this section, the URJC has won a silver medal in the category 'environmental impact' and a bronze medal in 'social impact'.

These results place the URJC on the top scale of the best rated institutions. This fact shows that the institutional effort that the URJC is making to comply with the SDGs is being recognized not only on a national scale, as was demonstrated in the celebration last week of CRUE Sustainability at the university, but also in the field international.

This good news is added to the fact that, recently, the URJC was positioned as the Madrid university with the highest employability in 4 of the 5 branches of knowledge.

All of them, indicators of the good place that the URJC occupies in the Spanish university panorama and the reputational improvement that it is acquiring.
