An International Congress analyzes aspects such as the financing of the ecological transition, renewable energies, or the viability of investing in sustainable mobility, among others.

The URJC is going to become, during Thursday and Friday, one of the centers of attention for sustainable investment. The University organizes the 'International Conference on Sustainable Finance'.

The congress has the objective of "analyzing investment and financing policies that take into account ESG factors" (Environmental, Social and Governance), explains Ana Belén Alonso Conde, professor of Business Economics, one of the organizers of the symposium .

Among the topics of the presentations, up to a total of 39, and the round tables will deal with current issues such as the financing of the ecological transition, renewable energies or the viability of investment in sustainable mobility or instruments such as 'bonds green'.

To deal with these questions, as well as academic experts from various universities both in Spain and in countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Italy, Portugal, Colombia and Ecuador. The conference will feature the participation of experts from financial institutions. Among them stand out Teresa Royo, director of 'Governance, Risk and Compliance' of KPMG in Spain and Juan Carlos Delrieu, director of 'Strategy and Sustainability' of the Spanish Banking Association who will participate in two round tables.

In addition, the Chair of Economics and Sustainable Finance of the University of Malaga will award a prize of 1.000 euros for the best communication of the congress.

As Ana Belén Alonso points out, "we hope that professionals interested in investment, doctoral students or undergraduate students, will attend." The latter will be required to attend in person to be able to recognize the 0 RAC credits that are granted for attending this event.

The vice-rector for Quality and Strategy, Andrés Martínez Fernández, will be in charge of opening the event. The organizers are sponsored by the Vice President for University Extension, the Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts and the Andalusian Government through a research project.
