On September 29, the URJC campus in Mostola will become a meeting point for the latest musical trends. The 25th Anniversary of the URJC organized together with Radio3 is celebrated there.

The danceable pop-rock of Arde Bogotá, the electronics of Delaporte or the sound party of Varry Brava will parade through the stage installed on the esplanade located in front of the campus rectory. You can also enjoy urban music with different accents from Tremenda Jauría, pop with eighties reminiscences from Morreo, the urban-electronic sound of Sila Lua and the irreverence of She Go.

According to Javier Otero, academic director of Culture and professor in the area of Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts, "we organize and generate an activity that brings the university closer to the students and young people whom we have taken into account when choosing the groups”. "We have new groups, others more consolidated, all interesting and made up of young people."

The musical performances will be interspersed with interviews with members of the university community: the rector, members of the 25th anniversary commission, as well as young research staff, students and the women's futsal team, brand-new European university champion.

All this in a 5-hour program prepared by the Radio 3 team hosted by Esther Ferrero, José Manuel Sebastián and Leyre Guerrero, journalists from this RTVE station. The event will be broadcast live on Radio 3 and also on the RTVE Play platform.

The 20th anniversary for reference

The Rey Juan Carlos University and Radio 3 have already collaborated on the occasion of the 20th anniversary (in the photo) with a similar event that was a complete success. On that occasion, it was held on the Fuenlabrada campus and featured artists such as Sidonie, Izal, Rayden, Zahara and Iván Ferreiro, among others.

The organization's expectations are ambitious, "we can accommodate up to 15.000 people, although if between 5.000 and 6.000 attend, we will consider it a success," says Juan Otero.

Thursday will leave doubts. Without a doubt, the offer is varied and attractive and shows that the URJC is connected with the largest part of its university community, its students.
