After the break caused by the pandemic, the Móstoles campus will host this meeting between heads of protocol from various academic institutions in Spain

Nora Fernandez and Nuria Ripoll

This event, which was stopped for two years due to Covid-19, brings together those responsible for Protocol from a total of 41 public and private universities from 15 autonomous communities in a sectoral meeting. Its intention is to share and reflect on the university protocols that are carried out in the different institutions, as well as the honorary investitures, the delegations, the university medals, the graduations or any other act of an academic nature.

The main objective, as Gustavo Galiani, main organizer of the event and head of the Office of Protocol and Institutional Relations of the Rey Juan Carlos University, points out, the objective is "to homogenize the different protocols and exchange experiences, in addition to publicizing the way of proceeding of each university, since it is usually different”.

In this nineteenth edition, "an attempt has been made to offer interesting presentations to share the way of doing things from various institutions, in addition to providing attendees with the necessary knowledge tools to unify criteria", says Galiani." We hope to live up to expectations, despite how complex the organization of this type of event is, since it requires paying attention to many details”. Specifically, he remarked that he would have liked to "show all the URJC campuses, but logistics prevented it and that is why the Móstoles and Vicálvaro campuses have been chosen, although we will try to convey the affection to the participants and other organizers".

The organizing committee has six students from the URJC, from the Degree in Protocol and the Degree in Organization of Events and Corporate Communication.

The meeting, which began on October 26, will end on Saturday 29 with a guided tour of the Buen Retiro Gardens.
