The participation of young creatives in creativity competitions is a way to enter the advertising profession and a form of active learning outside the classroom.

CreUP! was born from the initiative of professors Antonio Baladrón and Marta de Miguel, both are creative professionals who are active in renowned advertising agencies in the country and aim to help students through the figure of a professional who guides them in the elaboration of your ideas and proposals for contests

“With this project, what we want is to foster the creative talent of students and make the advertising creative profession more accessible. The project arises from our own observation that, as creativity teachers, we do every time we finish a course” explains Marta de Miguel.

"We believe that students are trained and have good ideas, however, they always tell us about the difficulty they have in accessing creative positions and their frustration at the need to take master's degrees to create a portfolio." “We want to facilitate that intermediate step, we know that they leave the faculty sufficiently trained. With this initiative we will try to solve this problem" says the teacher.

“Through creUP! The students will learn how the advertising sector works from the inside, since it is an industry that usually moves through contests and the best ideas are the ones that succeed” explains de Miguel. In addition, both professors ensure that students will be able to be in contact with professionals in the sector and with the work dynamics of advertising agencies.

This initiative, which has obtained funding from the IV Call for the Promotion of Innovation and Teaching Improvement at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, has a Web platform in which students will be able to consult the open calls and request the help of a facilitator to work on their ideas in personalized meetings.

Finally, Marta de Miguel emphasizes that the objective of the project is to maintain it over time and implement more actions to help students as more needs arise.
