Javier Ramos has participated in the events celebrating the quarter of a century of age of this benchmark hospital in the South of Madrid.

In his speech at the event held this Friday, the rector of the Rey Juan Carlos University recalled the close relationship that unites the URJC with the Alcorcón Foundation University Hospital (HUFA), of which the institution is patron. Ramos has indicated that "we feel very proud to have accompanied them in these 25 years of trajectory full of achievements derived from the professional work of each and every one of the people who start this great project every day".

In addition, the rector recalled the role of universities in meeting Sustainable Development Goal number 3 of the 2030 Agenda, "to achieve higher levels of health and well-being in our society", he indicated. Ramos highlighted that the URJC has "managed to be the only Madrid university that stands out in this SDG" in the 'THE University Impact 2020' ranking.

He has also congratulated all the winners and participants in the sports events held on the occasion of the HUFA's 25th Anniversary, pointing out the positive values ​​of the sport.

In his speech, Ramos also stated that "the Rey Juan Carlos University will always be at the side of health professionals, families and the sick, especially here in Alcorcón, a city where we have deep roots and where We feel part of this community.”

He has also had words for patients, families and associations, who have assured them that the URJC will continue to "promote and transfer knowledge and research from our campuses to improve the quality of life and health because our mission, our reason for being, is to contribute to economic and social development at a regional, national and international level”.

In addition to the rector of the URJC, the following have participated in this act to commemorate the HUFA: Enrique Ruiz Escudero, Minister of Health of the Community of Madrid; Natalia de Andrés del Pozo, mayoress of Alcorcón; Modoaldo Garrido, Manager of the Alcorcón Foundation University Hospital; Jesús Canora, Hospital Assistance Manager and Aurora Fabero, director of Hospital Assistance Continuity.

The event has been completed with various musical performances, including that of the Madrid Symphony Orchestra.
