After two years from the start of the project in Zilina (Slovakia), scientists, doctors and industry professionals, all members of the CeBMI team, have met at the University of Zilina to conclude this path of creating a portal for Biomedicine, open to anyone who needs it.

The objective of the project is the development and start-up of a Biomedicine Center to support the creation of courses related to this topic freely and free of charge. It will serve to support the creation and delivery of new courses/subjects in Biomedicine throughout the world. Through the cooperation of technical and medical universities, and companies in the Biomedicine area, the contents of the center will provide a set of current and quality complementary knowledge, skills and competencies.

According to Aarón Sújar, the person in charge of the project at the URJC and a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Statistics, “the center brings together leading groups in Europe from different areas with biomedicine as a common link. The objective is to create a standard on what a reference center for biomedicine would be in Europe”.

Up to now, Sújar points out, “the center's portal has been created where all the members' content is gathered. We have designed them for professionals to use as a reference to create new materials.” Later on, he indicates, it is also expected that "they may be accessible to students from the different universities that participate in the project."

The ambition of the center is to be open also to other partners not belonging to the consortium who wish to participate, and thus contribute to guaranteeing the impact and sustainability of the project. To consult all the material you can access the following link: https://cebmi.fri.uniza.sk/.
