Yesterday, January 17, the Rey Juan Carlos University signed an agreement with the Royal Spanish Mathematical Society (RSME) to strengthen relations between the URJC and this institution.

In this sense, different lines of development have been established to carry out various activities that make such collaboration effective. These will be carried out by signing more specific agreements.

The main objective of the agreement is to carry out and promote activities such as courses, conferences, seminars or conferences that stimulate the exchange of ideas between both entities, with the aim of greater cultural, scientific and academic dissemination. With this, the URJC and the RSME intend to organize End of Degree and End of Master competitions in degrees related to mathematics.

On the other hand, this agreement aims to develop research, dissemination, technological development and innovation programs. In addition, the possibility is raised that URJC students can carry out internships at the RSME, giving rise to a Specific Educational Cooperation Agreement for said internships.

According to Fernando Enrique García Muiña, Vice Rector for Research, Innovation and Transfer of the URJC, "one of the priorities of the agreement is to transfer to society the value that is generated from the field of mathematics, awaken vocations and make the community known opportunities for development and professional career in the academic and business field”.
