The Office of the Vice-Rector for Quality and Strategy and the Office of the Postgraduate Vice-Rector publish the first edition of these awards, to distinguish students who have made a significant contribution to the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda from any field of knowledge.

As reported, TFG, TFM and Doctoral Theses defended during the year 2022, which have been qualified with a grade equal to or greater than 9 (outstanding), may be presented. The works may be of practical or theoretical content, and must be explicitly linked to one of the five “Ps” of the 2030 Agenda: care for the Planet; the development of People; a Prosperity that leaves no one behind; Peace, justice and solid institutions; and the Partnerships (alliances) between all the actors.

The amount of the prizes, the application procedure, the evaluation criteria and other details are described in the Regulatory Bases of the Call, published in the URJC Electronic Board.

Applications must be submitted through the procedure enabled in the Electronic Office, entering the Main Menu and its Procedures Catalog.

The deadline for submission will be 20 business days, counting from the day after the publication of this call in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid, without prejudice to the date of publication on the URJC Electronic Bulletin.

As explained by Luis Giménez, Academic Director of University Social Responsibility, "the URJC has been trying to promote the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda for some time from many areas and that is why it has launched the URJC2030 project, which aims to materialize this commitment through multiple objectives and activities, such as these awards”.

"The idea is to encourage critical, creative and cooperative thinking among the students around these SDGs and we hope to have a good reception and many proposals for this first edition," Giménez assured.
