From Brussels, we normally receive statements from politicians, but there is a whole world of institutions and organizations that require professionals of all profiles.

With the aim of publicizing these opportunities and the ways to access them, the URJC, through the Office of the Vice-Rector for International Relations, has organized a conference on January 26 (Assembly Hall. Management Building. Fuenlabrada Campus 16h) focused on the 'European Careers Ambassadors' programme.

The event will serve as a presentation of the URJC ambassador in this initiative, Nekane Estalayo Paul, a student of the Science, Management and Services Engineering degree. The student will inform her classmates of all the options offered by the EU, from a professional point of view.

She will be accompanied, electronically, by three former students of the university, who are currently working or doing internships in Brussels.

After the interventions, students will be able to ask the speakers about their doubts or concerns regarding careers in European institutions.

Interesting professionally and personally

As explained by the Vice Chancellor for International Relations, María Luisa Humanes, who will open the day, “it is an opportunity for students to see that all kinds of profiles are requested in the EU and it constitutes an interesting alternative both from a professional and personal point of view. ”. Working in the European Union, Humanes adds, “is a way of being able to participate to a certain extent in decision-making that affects our lives. It is a way of participating in the construction of the EU and making life easier for our fellow European citizens, as well as getting to know other cultures and sharing the life experience with people of different origins”.

This is the first event of these characteristics that is carried out with the URJC Ambassador. After Fuenlabrada, it is planned to be held on other campuses of the Rey Juan Carlos University.

A way of discovering a different way to guide your professional career after university.
