The professor of Labor Law and Social Security at the URJC and Supreme Court Magistrate has been decorated by the Minister of Justice, Pilar Llop.

Sempere Navarro receives this award, of great importance in the world of the judiciary, after an extensive career, having carried out his professional and academic career in prestigious centers.

Sempere Navarro is Professor of Labor Law attached to the Universities of Oviedo, Murcia and Rey Juan Carlos at various times in his career, where he has held, among others, the positions of secretary, vice-dean, director of the University School and vice-rector.

He practiced as a labor lawyer between 2007 and 2014, when he was appointed magistrate of the Fourth Chamber of the Supreme Court for the turn reserved for jurists of recognized competence.

Today decorated is the author of more than one hundred monographs and three hundred technical articles, has been a speaker in numerous forums and institutions and has directed more than thirty doctoral theses. He was vice-president of the Spanish Association of Labor and Social Security Law and is currently co-director of the Spanish Labor Law Magazine and advisor to various magazines.

The Cross of Honor of the Order of San Raimundo de Peñafort is a Spanish civil decoration that rewards relevant merits incurred by those who intervene in the Administration of Justice. It also recognizes those outstanding people in the cultivation and application of Law in all its branches. Likewise, it rewards the trajectory of those who have provided services in legal activities dependent on the Ministry of Justice.
