The first HIGH-IMPACT JOURNALS Congress is inaugurated

On May 5, 2023, the I International Congress Online HIGH-IMPACT JOURNALS 2023-HIJEB 2023- will be held online.

The Congress, organized by the URJC, the UNEX and the UCLM, in collaboration with the ACEDE association, is a forum to reflect on how to publish in high-impact journals in the areas of Economy and Business. In it you can see methodological considerations, exchange of personal experiences, discussion of relevant skills and other issues so that participants can develop a successful publication profile.

As explained by Marta Ortiz de Urbina Criado, president of the congress, "the idea of ​​this congress is to bring together senior and junior researchers (especially doctoral students or recent doctors) and editors of scientific journals to share experiences on the processes of publication in impact journals J​ournal Citation Reports and Scimago Journal & Country Rank ”.

As commented by its presidents, Rafael Robina-Ramírez, from the University of Extremadura and Marta Ortiz de Urbina Criado, from the URJC, in this first edition, five prestigious researchers from European universities will talk about the process they had to follow to publish one of their articles in a high-impact magazine. In addition, there will be two meeting sessions with editors of the journals J​ournal Citation Reports and Scimago Journal & Country Rank so that they can discuss the evaluation procedure of the papers.

Additionally, a mentoring program for young researchers guaranteed for the first 50 participants to register will be developed. The organizing committee will make a selection of mentors and mentees by lines of research and will put a senior researcher in contact with a junior one to carry out one or two online orientation sessions on publication in high-impact journals. These sessions are expected to take place in the months following the event.

Its organizers intend, through this initiative that was born with the intention of becoming an annual event, "to encourage and help the new generations of researchers so that, together, we can improve the level of scientific research in the areas of Economics and Company".
