After the stoppage caused by the pandemic, the International Study and Internship Program "A Magical Opportunity" returns to the URJC. This agreement, signed with the University of California and the Walt Disney World company, gives three URJC students the opportunity to study and work in Florida, USA, for 6 months.

The program is intended for undergraduate students in Tourism, Economics, Business, Marketing, Communication Sciences, International Relations, Protocol or Labor Relations and Human Resources. After the appropriate meetings, held on February 20, the three students who will enjoy this opportunity have already been selected.

According to María Luisa Humanes, vice-rector for International Relations, "the URJC is the only university in Spain that has this collaboration agreement with Disneyland." Like any international experience, "which is always interesting, the characteristic of this program is the combination of the training part at the University of California and the completion of internships in a cultural industry company as important as Disney," says Humanes. .

For this twenty-second call for the Program, a total of 47 applications have been submitted, of which only three have been selected to receive the UCR scholarship.

"We hope that, in this resumption of the program, the selected students will be able to complete their experience in a rewarding way, with that added value that is international mobility, both in terms of training and internships," says the Vice-Rector for International Relations.

Important dates

The duration of the program is 6 months, specifically from June 24, 2023 to January 4, 2024. From June 26 to July 7, the study program will be developed at the University of California Riverside. On July 9, the students will travel to the Walt Disney World Resort, in Florida, to see what will be their “home” for the next few months. On July 11, and until January 3, 2024, paid internships will begin at the large theme park.
