The 'I International Congress of Clear Communication' will debate the importance of the right to understand

The symposium aims to "bring into contact the academic, professional and social interests of all those people concerned about these issues and serve as a meeting point for the great work they carry out." This is explained by the directors of the event, Ricardo Vizcaíno-Laorga (URJC) and Blas Subiela (UCAM), who have defined a program of presentations and communications involving “communicators, linguists, jurists, translators, experts in transparency and public administration, designers graphics, experts in user experience (UX), inclusive communication, disability and vulnerable audiences.”  

Focused, on this occasion, on vulnerable audiences, such as children, present on the Internet at increasingly younger ages, it also encompasses different thematic areas related to clear communication and classified into four general blocks: specialized languages, design, technology and clear communication as a right) and transparency (reputation).  

The conference aims to serve as a meeting point for society, professionals and academics interested in this field, with the participation of experts from more than 20 countries.  

According to International Plain Language Federation, “a communication is in plain language if the language, structure, and design are so clear that the intended audience can easily find what they need, understand what they find, and use that information.”

The event will be dedicated to the memory of Mario Tascón, pioneer of clear communication in Spain, who was going to be in charge of inaugurating the 'I International Congress of Clear Communication'.

The event will be held online and in person and registrations will be managed through a form. The directors are optimistic about participation in the congress, “we have attendees from 15 countries and more than 400 people are registered.”
