'All about Oedipus', a work made and performed by the URJC theater group, has achieved great success in its first year of presence at the Mutis emerging theater festival in Barcelona.

With this work, the group from the Rey Juan Carlos University has won three awards from the festival: Best University Theater Work; Best Actor, for Cristian Girón and Best Supporting Actress, for Martina Roel.

This past Monday, May 6, the awards ceremony was held at the 'Teatre Els Lluïsos de Gràcia', in Barcelona, attended by Cristian Girón, Martina Roel and Judit Monterroso, also belonging to 'ArrojoScánico', which had been nominated for the Best Supporting Actress category.

The play All About Oedipus addresses the figure of the mythical king of Thebes, adapting the monarch's story to current Spanish times, without eschewing comedy to do so.

The Mutis Festival of emerging and newly created theater is an annual meeting held in Barcelona that is conceived as a gateway to the stage scene for emerging professional companies and training theater groups.
