The Center for Innovation, Technology and Knowledge Transfer (CINTTEC), belonging to the Vice-Rector's Office for Research, Innovation and Transfer, has been in charge of the protection and transfer of the knowledge generated at the URJC since 2001.

The recognition has come from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. With its name as Knowledge Transfer Office (OTC), the activity of this organization is recognized in the management of research results and knowledge transfer carried out in the Vice-Rector's Office for Research, Innovation and Transfer.

El CINTTEC, created in 2001, is the Service dependent on the Vice-Management of Research and Innovation in charge of the protection and management of the transfer of knowledge generated at the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC).

The registration of CINTTEC in the OTC registry represents formal recognition of the work carried out by the Vice-Rectorate for Research, Innovation and Transfer in terms of management of the transfer and knowledge of the R&D&I activity of its researchers, and will allow the URJC to participate in specific calls for aid to promote the transfer of knowledge from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

Currently, the registration and recognition of OTCs is regulated through Royal Decree 984/2022, of November 22, 2022, of the current Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, created to update the requirements of the units or entities dedicated to the transfer function must be fulfilled in the current social scenario in which R&D&I activity and the transfer of knowledge to the productive sector are carried out.
