The initiative, developed during the 2023/2024 academic year, has focused on the creation of two comprehensive campaigns designed to encourage citizen participation in the circular economy and the protection of the environment by the student body, always guided by the teaching team. This recognition highlights the positive impact of good educational practice that has involved students in promoting sustainable practices through digital communication.

The project was integrated into the Audiovisual Technologies subject of the first year of the Degree in Digital Communication at the URJC, offering students a theoretical-practical learning experience. The main objective was for them to design and develop real digital campaigns using a methodology focused on active learning. Through this approach, they were able to apply their knowledge in a practical environment, similar to what they will face in their future professional careers.

Promote the circular economy among citizens

The digital campaigns focused on promoting the circular economy and encouraging citizen participation. Students participated in all phases of the process, from planning and design to digital media promotion, using a variety of communication tools and strategies. The results of the two campaigns developed by the students, Ethical7hreads and ERRExERRE, can be consulted in their entirety on the Teaching Innovation website.Climate Warriors'

The URJC Degree in Digital Communication aims to train students so that they can work in various areas of digital communication, including digital media agencies, production companies, advertising agencies, media centers and media outlets. This specific project allowed students to develop both specific and transversal skills necessary for their professional performance.

This project has also been financed thanks to the V Call for the Promotion of Innovation Projects and Improvement of the Quality of Teaching of the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the Rey Juan Carlos University.
