This master's degree provides multidisciplinary scientific-technical training and confers professional powers in all areas of industrial engineering. That is why it is one of the studies with the highest business demand and percentage of job placement.


Industrial Engineering is a well-established profession integrated into the European and Spanish productive sector. Today's industrial engineers are versatile professionals, trained to work in a wide variety of industrial sectors and with firm scientific-technological foundations that allow them to carry out research, development and innovation (R&D&I) activities.

This Master qualifies for the exercise of professional activities according to Order CIN/311/2009, of February 9, which establishes the requirements for the exercise of the profession of Industrial Engineer.

The Master is aimed at Industrial Technology Engineering graduates, but also offers a second itinerary with training complements for students from other degrees who meet established training requirements.

Quality, specialization and company practices

The Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering at the URJC is strongly committed to the quality of teaching, internships in companies and specialization. Therefore, it is a 120-credit master's degree that takes place over 2 years, in person and in the afternoon.

Students have up to 30 elective credits that allow them to specialize in different areas of Industrial Engineering, among others, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Energy Sustainability and Transportation Engineering.

The Master has 12 mandatory credits of internships in companies. These internships are an excellent opportunity to complement the student's training, while introducing them to the business world in which they will develop their profession. The internships are carried out in companies of recognized prestige, such as Bosch, Técnicas Reunidas, Repsol, INTA, CBRE, etc., and a high number of students end up working in the companies where they have completed the internship.

The studies culminate with a 12-credit Master's Thesis in which the student carries out a comprehensive Industrial Engineering project of a professional nature that synthesizes the skills acquired in the teachings.

More than 70% of the Master's teaching staff are doctors, with a high participation of external professors from different sectors of industrial engineering who contribute their experience and bring the subjects closer to industrial reality.
