The Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) in addition to their cultural, symbolic value, decisively influence the growth of other economic areas such as tourism; they inspire digital technologies and services, and produce benefits for education, inclusion and social innovation.

In the era of Information and Communication Technologies, it is the content that is reported and communicated. And in a society hungry for content whose subject matter is culture and creativity, the creation and management of culture has never been so important for the economy of a country.

Despite all this, the arts in general survive in a permanent crisis. And today's artists, in a technological and global society, increasingly need to insert themselves into the dynamics of content creation and distribution, in addition to mastering entrepreneurship and planning techniques in order to make art. Providing these tools is the objective of the Master in Management and Leadership of Cultural Projects.

Bridge between academia and industry

The Master aims to create a bridge between university academic training and the organizations and institutions responsible for the production, marketing, management or custody of cultural assets. Its academic-research orientation allows the continuation and complement of undergraduate studies, fundamentally in the area of ​​Humanities and Artistic Education, and offers a training link between these and the aforementioned Doctorate in Art. It is also very interesting for those creators and performers who want to develop sustainable artistic projects.

These studies address all the phases that must be taken into account when planning a cultural project: legislative, sociocultural (habits, fashion, etc.), demographic, economic, political and technological aspects, with special emphasis on the study of organizational models. and practical cases that enable the student to formulate designs for organizations linked to resource management.

The work methodology emphasizes two fundamental aspects: work with the roles of leader, manager and expert within a project; and knowledge of communication tools (analysis of situations, speeches, dialogues and debates). The entire academic itinerary is built around the design of a cultural project that the student will present as the Master's Thesis.
