The Santander Equality Scholarships, which amount to 5.000 euros per year per student, will be awarded during the second and third year of the university degree. This financial support seeks to ensure that the beneficiaries can concentrate on their studies without financial worries that could affect their academic performance.

The selection process will be carried out in several phases, starting with registration in the program through the platform www.santanderopenacademy.com, from September 4 to November 18, 2024. Subsequently, the URJC will select a candidate who meets the established requirements, including good academic performance and having been the beneficiary of a tuition scholarship from the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training in the previous academic year.

On December 10, 2024, the URJC will notify Santander Asset Management SA of the candidates shortlisted to participate in a draw before a notary, which will determine the final beneficiaries of the scholarships. These students will be notified on December 14, 2024 and will have a period of 7 days to accept the scholarship through the same platform.

With this initiative, the Rey Juan Carlos University reaffirms its commitment to promoting gender equality in the educational field, facilitating access to higher education for talented and dedicated women with limited financial resources. In addition, it joins Santander's efforts to create educational opportunities that foster a more just and inclusive society.
