These sessions are focused on deepening knowledge about the role of technology and, more specifically, of Artificial Intelligence in the world of Communication. The first meeting will take place this Thursday at the Vicálvaro Campus. “Cervantes: AI for video game scriptwriters” This will be a talk in which Alby Ojeda, Senior Narrative Designer, Screenwriter and Chatbot Writer, will discuss the impact of this technology on video game innovation. The timetable will be from 17pm to 19pm in the Auditorium.
On Friday, November 8th, the event will take place “Impact of AI on Communication” in the Auditorium of the Madrid-Argüelles Headquarters and will take place all morning, from 10 a.m. to 14 p.m. On this day there will be a round table in which Patricia Ruiz, coordinator of Maldita Tecnología; J. Carlos Sánchez, head of intelligence at Prodigioso Volcán, and Mario Rajas, director of the Flix-Olé Spanish Cinema Chair, will speak in depth about the role of AI in the future of communication.
In addition, Álvaro Rodríguez, researcher at LAMOLA.STUDIOS, will share his experience in the use of AI in animation and will give advice on how to apply these tools in audiovisual production. Santiago Izquierdo, Head of Technology and Platforms at Samsung Electronics Iberia, will explain how his company has implemented this technology in mobile devices. Finally, Alby Ojeda will discuss how to apply these tools in interactive narrative. URJC students who register will receive 0,25 ECTS credits. All of this can be followed online. here
Manuel Gertrudix, professor in the area of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising, indicates that the objective of these conferences is for professionals and companies to reveal which skills can be included in university programs in relation to AI, as well as to delve deeper into the ways of doing so. This will allow the university community to understand how these systems work before starting to use them.
