This Next Thursday, November 21st, starting at 13:XNUMX p.m., the second session (via teams) of the 'diversity and equality appetizers' will take place, which aim to "find a space for the entire university community to talk about LGTBI, ethnic-racial, origin diversity and equality between men and women," says Miguel Ángel López Saéz, director of the URJC Diversity Unit.

In this second installment, the social educator and influencer on gender issues, Pitu Aparicio, will talk with the Nursing professor Almudena Alameda, about sexual health among women. In this meeting, topics related to sexual and reproductive health and hygiene will be addressed. The aim is for “universities to get involved by facilitating access to hygiene products,” explains Miguel Ángel Saéz.

The purpose of this joint initiative of the Diversity and Equality units of the URJC “is to let the university community know that they have an appointment with us every month to talk about these issues. We have scheduled the “aperitifs” at midday to make it easier for students, PDI, and PTGAS to participate in them, even if only in part,” explains Saéz.

These meetings began last month, with a session dedicated to the visibility of LGTBIQ+ identities in different communication spaces. To do so, the influencer Daniel Valero, better known on social media as 'Tigrillo', and Sara González from the association 'AlKuir' were present. "This first event was very well received, with about 90 people connected during the two hours that the aperitif lasted," says Saéz.

The following events will focus on topics such as trafficking or how to address LGTBIQ+ realities in History. New influencers, teachers and representatives of local associations will participate in them. Every month, until June, there will be a new episode of these appetizers.

All events are recognized with RAC credits.
