The Rey Juan Carlos University and the Accelerating Youth Opportunities (AYO) Foundation have signed a general protocol of action with the aim of generating new opportunities for personal and professional development for young people. This agreement aims to establish a space for collaboration between both institutions in various areas such as science, technology, training and innovation.

The protocol, formalized on November 21, was signed by the Rector of the URJC, Javier Ramos López, and the representative of the AYO Foundation, Juan José Nieto Bueso. The agreement reflects the mutual commitment to contribute to social, economic and cultural progress through the development of training, research and internship programs at the university. In addition, the possibility of carrying out exchanges of research and technical personnel is contemplated, as well as the shared use of facilities and resources.

One of the most notable lines of collaboration in the agreement is the inclusion of URJC students in the Foundation's internship program, which will allow them to actively participate in projects focused on the social and labor integration of the most vulnerable young people.

The protocol has an initial duration of one year, with the possibility of extensions of up to five additional years. During this time, specific agreements will be established that will specify the different forms of collaboration, each with its own work plan, objectives and budget. In addition, both entities have agreed to form a joint monitoring committee that will ensure compliance with the objectives and the proper development of the joint projects.

With this agreement, the URJC reinforces its commitment to social inclusion and the promotion of equal opportunities, while the AYO Foundation consolidates its work in creating alternatives for those young people who need it most.
