This year-end brings good news for the URJC in terms of sustainability. Our university has climbed a total of 79 positions in the latest edition of the QS ranking dedicated to this subject, allowing it to be placed among the 450 most sustainable universities on the planet.
In addition to this remarkable rise in global terms, the Rey Juan Carlos University has experienced a spectacular rise of 192 positions in the 'Environmental Impact' indicator and 44 positions in the 'Social Impact' category.
In comparative terms, at the regional and national level, our University stands out in the 'Health & Wellbeing' and 'Environmental Research' indicators.
According to the Deputy Vice-Rector for Strategy, Diana Benito, “this result is a reflection of the institutional commitment and the collective effort of the entire university community. We have worked hard to integrate sustainable practices into our activities and foster an organizational culture of environmental and social responsibility.” Benito added that “standing out in these areas is the best testimony to the positive impact we are generating inside and outside our institution. We will continue to promote initiatives that promote sustainability and well-being, with the firm conviction that public higher education has a crucial role in building a more sustainable future for all.”
Good news at the end of the year that confirms the commitment to sustainability of the entire URJC university community.
