The 25rd edition of the URJC Cross Country will begin this Saturday, January 11 at 30:12 with the women's race, followed at 00:6.500 by the men's race. It should be noted that the times are approximate. Both events will cover a XNUMX-meter circuit, with three laps of the 'Mariano Fernández Vergara' track and a finish at the finish line of the campus athletics track.
The awards ceremony will take place at 12:30 pm at the Raúl González Blanco Stadium, where the best university athletes in the community will be awarded.
The circuit was created to provide coverage for university runners who want to have a continuous activity and are fans of athletics. The head of the URJC sports service, Pedro Ramos, says that organizing this event for 23 editions “is a reflection of the fact that the URJC promotes sporting activity, and we are part of a group of universities that understand sport as fundamental.”
Registration is free and will be available until Thursday, January 23 at 14:00 p.m. through the website of the Madrid Athletics FederationStudents, teachers and technical, management and service staff from Madrid universities may register, provided they are enrolled or linked during the 2024/2025 academic year.
