On the morning of Monday, February 24, the rector of the URJC, Javier Ramos, and the president of Santander Universities of Banco Santander S.A.., Matías Rodríguez, signed a new Collaboration Agreement between both entities. The agreement aims, as main objectives, to "strengthen the quality of the teaching provided, contribute to the excellence of its research activity, promote the transfer of research results and improve the efficiency of academic management."
The protocol also aims to facilitate students' access to continuing education programmes, thereby strengthening their international projection. Fundamentally, it seeks to raise the offer and level of cultural and academic services.
In this way, under this Agreement, several projects are being developed aimed at improving access to the labour market for URJC students, once they have completed their studies. Specifically, within the activities scheduled for this year and the next, various 'Santander Scholarships' aimed at employability and entrepreneurship are included, as well as different mobility programmes and grants for study and research.
Furthermore, it should be noted that Banco Santander will continue to provide the URJC, free of charge, with installation, operation and maintenance services for the mobile application AppCrue, developed by the bank for the university community.
