Fernando García Muiña was the candidate with the most votes, with 49% of the votes, while Abraham Duarte garnered 11% of the votes. Blank votes accounted for 46% of the votes.

The URJC rector elections will be held in a second round, as no candidate received more than 50% of the vote. This vote will take place on April 29.

Fernando García Muiña was the candidate with the most support, obtaining 49% of the votes cast, while Abraham Duarte obtained 11% of the votes. Blank votes accounted for 46% of the votes.

The results by sector were as follows: Sector A (PhD professors, civil servants or contracted with permanent contracts): 50% for Fernando García Muiña and 61% for Abraham Duarte. In Sector B (Teaching and research staff who do not meet the requirements for Sector A): Fernando García Muiña received 42% of the votes, while Abraham Duarte received 64%. Sector C (Students) yielded the following results: 48% of the votes for Abraham Duarte and 81% for Fernando García Muiña. Finally, in Sector D (Technical Management and Administration and Services Staff), the results were as follows: 45% of the votes went to Abraham Duarte, while 19% went to Fernando García Muiña.

Unequal participation by sectors

Regarding turnout, as in all URJC rectorship elections, the results were uneven across sectors: Sector A registered a turnout of 87,42%. In Sector B, 48% of voters participated. In Sector C, turnout was 5%. Finally, in Sector D, the turnout rate rose to 13%.
