This Friday marks the start of 'Primavera Live URJC 2025', which will be held on the terrace of the Fuenlabrada campus cafeteria. DJ Joana River will perform at 14:XNUMX PM to kick off the festival, which will run throughout the month of April.
"Our goal is to offer a more recreational space so students can share different experiences and build a bond with the university," explains Javier Otero, Academic Director of Culture. The cultural program for this month of April began this Wednesday with a screening of the film "Sacred Spirit" at the Film Classroom on the Fuenlabrada campus, featuring its director, Chema García Ibarra. Additionally, on April 23, the Film Classroom will be showing the film "Where Silence Passes," along with a discussion by director Sandra Romero.
The Music Classroom is offering two concerts. This Saturday at 19:25 p.m., the URJC Choir will celebrate its XNUMXth anniversary with a concert at the Vila de Móstoles Theater. Regarding this event, the Director of Culture notes that "it's significant that a university choir has been around for so long." "It marks an important milestone in the university's commitment to culture," he adds.
Also on April 10, the URJC Orchestra will perform the concert "The Little Prince" by composer Borja Mariño. This is the first version of this work for symphony orchestra. The event will take place at the Carlos III Theater in Aranjuez.
Finally, the Theater Classroom presents two plays. This Friday, the "Arrojoescénico" group will perform "Pablo and Galatea" at 19:XNUMX p.m. at the Josep Carreras Theater in Fuenlabrada. This play is participating in the Young Theater Competition, organized by the Fuenlabrada City Council. They will also present the play "He Is Called Macbeth," directed by Antonius Blac. They will travel to Barcelona to perform this Saturday at the Sant Adria Cultural Center in Besos, and on Monday, April 7, they will perform at the Civivox Iturrama in Pamplona.
The URJC is celebrating a culturally charged spring with a variety of activities for the entire university community. "It's positive for the university to have such a wide range of activities to choose from," notes the unit's director.
