For the second consecutive year, the URJC Culture Unit, part of the Vice-Rectorate for Campus Community, Culture, and Sports, is organizing 'Primavera Live URJC 2025,' a music festival that will fill the Fuenlabrada campus with color and activity. This time, the sessions will take place starting at 14:00 PM over several days this month.

The kickoff for this edition will take place this Friday, when a DJ party will begin, hosted by Joana River. However, this won't be the only session of its kind, as next Friday, April 11th, it will be Kara DJ's turn at the same time.

On the other hand, Thursdays will be dedicated to acoustic music. The first artist to offer a concert will be María Cruz, who will perform on Thursday, April 10th. Two weeks later, on April 24th, the duo Ian Paris & Sheila Paz will open the day, starting at 14:00 PM, and will continue around 16:00 PM with the "Canserbero Rap Battle." This "cockfight" will be open to all comers, as it is not necessary to belong to the URJC community to participate. Those interested in participating can sign up. here.

In addition, on Wednesday, April 23, a stand-up comedy show will take place, starring Pitu Aparicio and featuring the collaboration of the University's Diversity Unit.

Finally, the festival will conclude with a grand closing party on Friday, April 25th, in the parking lot behind the cafeteria on the aforementioned Fuenlabrada campus. Although details about the various performances that will take place that day have not yet been revealed, it can be said that the winner of the rap battle held the previous day will have the opportunity, at this final closing ceremony, to perform a song or improvise on stage.

“A resounding success”

This new edition of 'Primavera Live URJC' follows the tremendous reception it received last year. In this regard, Javier Otero, Academic Director of Culture, noted that last year's festival was "a resounding success." Not surprisingly, as the professor of Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts states, "students kept asking us if we were going to hold the festival again." "It's important for the university to host these types of activities, because they contribute decisively to students enjoying recreational experiences and making the most of their university life," he concluded.
