The URJC students proposed a different hotel concept through their initiative "JOMO: Calm is not found, it is chosen." Their project proposes accommodation free of screens and digital connections, designed to fully enjoy the present moment and disconnect from life on social media. According to Teresa Villacé, coordinator of the URJC's participation in the competition, the students "were amazed by the whole experience, and it seemed like a wonderful opportunity to learn how other teams from other universities work. They also saw that they have a lot of time and room for improvement to continue participating." Villacé also noted that preparing for the competition is "a worthwhile effort for the students, who develop a real project for a company, but also for the teachers, who learn about different working methods." As finalists, the URJC students are guaranteed an internship with the HOTUSA group if they so wish.

Over two intensive days, the participating teams completed a program of activities and training sessions designed to perfect the projects developed during the course. In addition to group dynamics, they received training in effective communication, sales, innovation, and entrepreneurship, applying this knowledge in practical exercises led by a multidisciplinary team from the Hotusa Group.

Throughout the competition, students faced the challenge of designing new business models, hotel concepts, and innovative tourism services, conducting a thorough analysis of the sector and proposing solutions that responded to new market opportunities.

Rey Juan Carlos University has participated, once again, in the Hotusa Talent Match competition, a contest that brings together 13 university centers from across Spain to develop a new hotel concept, promoted by the HOTUSA tourism group. The activity was carried out within the framework of the course Turistic marketing of the Degree in Tourism, under the direction of Professor Teresa Villacé Molinero. The final took place on April 25 and 26 at the Eurostars Madrid Congress 4* hotel, with the participation of nearly 200 students from all over Spain, 45 of whom were selected for the quality of their projects.

The finalist universities in this edition were, in addition to the URJC: University of Santiago de Compostela (Lugo and Santiago campuses), European University of Valencia, ESIC Barcelona, Nebrija University (Madrid), CESUGA (A Coruña), ESCI Barcelona, University of Vigo (Ourense campus, with two projects), European University of Madrid, Loyola University of Córdoba, Altamira University of Santander and the UAB of Barcelona.
