Rey Juan Carlos University has announced the creation of a new degree program, which will begin to be taught in the 2025-2026 academic year on the Aranjuez campus. This program has been developed entirely by the university. Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

El degree The program aims to train professionals capable of working in fields such as museums, archives, exhibition curating, cultural management, research, and heritage mediation. To this end, it emphasizes the development of critical and creative skills, as well as the use of digital tools in art research and dissemination. In this sense, the degree seeks to offer interdisciplinary training that combines the study of artistic expressions with the management and conservation of cultural heritage.

Professor Ana Esther Santamaría Fernández, coordinator of the degree, explains that "the program has been designed with an innovative and contemporary approach, integrating subjects such as art history, aesthetics, digital humanities, non-Western art, visual studies, and cultural industries." She also highlights "the importance of the campus's location in Aranjuez, a UNESCO World Heritage City, as an added value for students' training."

The degree will be introduced gradually, starting with the first academic year in 2025-2026. The University, through the FAH, has initiated outreach activities in secondary schools and events such as the AULA Fair to publicize this new academic offering.
