URJC Medicine students prepare for the MIR

Thousands of medical students prepare their appointment with the MIR for next February 10. The most important examination of the medical career will be held this year simultaneously in 50 centers throughout the country. In this test and for three calls, the student body graduated in Medicine from the Rey Juan Carlos University is among the top seven positions.

A program reduces anxiety before exams, through the mobile

The results of the study have been so revealing that the pilot program, which began this year, will be extended to more students. Through mobile messages they have calmed the anxiety of the students before taking the exam and have then evaluated the response obtained. The Psychology Area of ​​the Rey Juan Carlos University launched this experiment with 30 university students to reduce the stress caused by the exams. With this study they will soon help other engineering boys and girls from the Móstoles Campus. 
The Physical Preparation Unit of the Center for Sports Studies is launching a program in a few days with the aim of contributing to improving the physical condition of university staff. The plan will begin to be implemented in Fuenlabrada, although the goal is to reach all campuses.
The URJC will participate in this meeting, which aims to be a discussion forum for experts to seek ways to improve the quality of higher education in Spanish. Within the framework of the Congress, the inter-university collaboration consortium COFUTURO, recently constituted and created to strengthen ties between Spanish and Latin American universities, will be presented in Ecuador.
The Alumni Office of the Rey Juan Carlos University launches a series of meetings between graduates and different companies. Next Tuesday, January 23, the first session for ADE, Economics and Law graduates will be held with the company Acciona. The goal is for former URJC students to learn about the employment programs and how the selection processes are carried out.

More than 2.000 students visit UNITOUR Madrid

The Novotel Madrid Center hosts the 40th UNITOUR University Orientation Hall this Tuesday. From their own stands, the Rey Juan Carlos University, and another 2.000 Spanish universities and training centers advise some XNUMX high school students. The objective is to offer useful information to young people so that they can decide what their university future will be.
After having registered an average attendance of 100 students per session in the last edition, the seminar once again analyzes the relationship between the Constitution, democracy and the Parliamentary Monarchy. In this edition, in addition to figures from law and politics, intellectuals from literature and philosophy will participate.
The activity is aimed at improving our students' programming skills and will be held from January 26 to March 23 on the Móstoles campus.
Researchers from the URJC Cyberimaginary group will give different presentations on the role of communication in the development of creative cities. The objective of the congress is to highlight the importance of creative and innovative thinking in the development of cities.
On February 20 and 22, the 'GameGen' conferences give video game fans the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the sector. The event is organized by the association of students of the Video Game Design and Development Degree, Virtual Soul, and will take place at the Móstoles Campus.

More than 50 tourism students collaborate in FITUR

About 60 tourism students will visit the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) this year. Exceptionally, they will do so as assistants at FITURTECH and will collaborate with the World Tourism Organization between January 17 and 21 at the Madrid Trade Fair Institution (IFEMA). The initiative has been possible thanks to the coordinators of the URJC Tourism degrees.
Today, January 11, the elections for the Faculty Board have been called in the Faculty of Communication Sciences. The vote will take place on February 8.  
The KPMG-URJC Chair in Financial and Forensic Investigation commemorates the six years of the Master in Economic Criminal Law with a series of classes open to the public. An expert in criminal intelligence will give the second session, on February 1, at the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences (FCJS) of the Madrid Campus. The previous one was held in November and registered a hundred participants.
The Rey Juan Carlos University and another 40 study centers and universities in Madrid will advise high school students on January 16 regarding their university future. They will do it in the XII edition of the University Orientation Hall 'UNITOUR'. An event organized by the Círculo de Formación consultancy that covers twenty Spanish cities, five Italian cities, two Portuguese cities and Andorra.
