Description of the Service/Trials offered

The Laboratory of Archeology and Digital Humanities-ArqueoURJC is an interdisciplinary center, created from the Archeology Area within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the Rey Juan Carlos University. Among its objectives is support for teaching, research and management of Archeology and Cultural Heritage. The laboratory carries out interdisciplinary studies, among which are archaeological and anthropological studies, 3D scanning, photogrammetry, multichannel GPR and analysis of archaeological materials. . The main purposes of the Laboratory are the following:

  • Train and encourage the use of digital tools for university professors, researchers and students.
  • Promote research in Digital Humanities.
  • Increase the impact of research in Archeology and Cultural Heritage.
  • Advise on archaeological and heritage projects.

  • Geophysical prospecting with 3D Georadar in archaeological sites, civil works and geology. Preparation of a technical report with the results perfectly explained and georeferenced. Price per hectare to be agreed.

  • Topographic Surveys of archaeological sites. Topographical layouts of structures, walls, tastings, etc. Price per hectare to be agreed.
  • Three-dimensional modeling of archaeological sites and cultural heritage.
  • Carrying out digital inventories of Cultural Heritage and traditional Architecture.
  • Conducting studies and interpreting LíDAR data
