Sofía Barroso is the winner of the David Campbell Trophy for Best

Receptionist of the Year 2016 worldwide.

He did the practices of the race at the Hotel Villa Real in Madrid where he already had contact with luxury tourism.

More than 10 years of experience in the hotel industry, experience and have led him to open a new 5* hotel in Madrid, where he has created the Front Office team, procedures and standards.

Currently, the VP Plaza España Design 5* Hotel is among the top 5 luxury hotels in Madrid.

Sofía began her career in a 5* Hotel in Madrid in the events and reception area. She subsequently her in London, at a 1019-room hotel where she was in the food and beverage department. In 2012, she moved to the front desk team at the same hotel.

Sofia stood out among the team for her attention to detail and guest satisfaction. By becoming a Guest Journey Ambassador, she met all guest needs by learning from each hotel department in cross-training. Finally, she was promoted to Front Office Supervisor where, under her criteria, all the training processes for the new team members were carried out.

The 2016 Receptionist of the Year award was made possible after working for 3 years at the most luxurious hotel in Madrid, the Hotel Villa Magna, where the highest hotel standards were achieved working as a reservation agent and later as a receptionist.
