Within the framework of the general quality improvement strategy, the Rey Juan Carlos University has implemented the Support Program for the Evaluation of the Teaching Activity of the University Teaching Staff (DOCENTIA) whose objective is to improve the training, qualification and teaching competence of the teaching staff. . This program, created by ANECA in 2007, aims to support universities in the design of their own mechanisms to manage the quality of the teaching activity of university teachers and promote their development and recognition. With this purpose, since 2008 the Rey Juan Carlos University annually convenes a procedure in which the evaluation of the teaching activity of the teaching staff is carried out, with voluntary participation. This analysis is essential to improve the performance of the teaching activity, and to have an accurate diagnosis of the needs in terms of training, innovation and academic planning.
The renewal of the certification, with effect from December 31, 2020, will last for 5 years. The National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) and the madri+d Foundation for Knowledge resolved, on November 27, to renew the certification of the Teaching Activity Assessment Model for its Teaching Staff and the implantation of this in the University.
The University has participated in the DOCENTIA program since 2008 and obtained its first certification in 2013. The renewal comes after updating the evaluation model carried out in the last two calls by the Vice-Rectorate for Quality, Ethics and Good Governance, and which has implemented the measures of the Improvement Plan approved in 2019 by the University Quality Committee.
The DOCENTIA 2023 call is the sixteenth of the Rey Juan Carlos University

To accredit the evaluated merits, it is not necessary to upload any certificate of those activities carried out at the URJC, as long as the teacher verifies on the platform that they are already uploaded. You must only incorporate certificates on merits external to the URJC or internal ones that you verify have not been uploaded to the platform.
